A: The CS40 is intended for portable and pedestrian mobile operation. It houses the KX2 and has a belt loop system so the case can be mounted to the operator's belt. The padded, zip top allows quick deployment.
The ES60, at twice the size, is intended to provide the full 'shack in a box' capability. The additional space provides stores the MH3 hand mic, an extra KXBT2 battery, the KXPD2 key and there's additional space to store adapters, a roll of antenna wire for a full station that can be taken into the field and deployed quickly into operation.
