Modular Kits

Elecraft’s approach to kit building includes Modular Kits which involves building products with pre-calibrated boards that are fully populated with electronic components. 

The builder’s experience with modular kits does not require soldering.  All boards are connected with pre-built cables, all connectors have pre-installed wiring.  Controls and buttons are already mounted to the boards.  Assembly activities include the mechanical building of the cabinet, insertion of boards into the mechanical assemblies and building of the cabinets to reach a final product.

Assembly Manuals are available for download so you can decide for yourself if you want to build a modular kit.   All modular kit products are also available in Factory Built form, too.  When complete, any Modular Kit will meet the same performance specifications as the Factory Built version.  So, the choice is yours.
