Q: How difficult is it to install the K144XV?
A: Only a few basic hand tools are needed to perform the installation. A minimal amount of soldering is required to install a power connector on the K3 RF board on some older K3 transceivers.
Q: When would I need to consider the RefLock option?
A: If you are planning on operating FM only, then you will not need to install the RefLock option. If, however, you plan to operate CW, Sideband or AM modes, install the RefLock option to maximize stability.
